Maneet Chauhan is an Indian American chef and television personality of Punjabi origin. The Indian Executive Chef is very notable as a judge of the TV cooking series Chopped on Food Network. Among other programs such as The Next Iron Chef on The View on ABC and Iron Chef America on NBC.

“It was important for me to be healthy not only for the way I look or feel but also for the message that I was sending to my kids,”

She added:

“I was telling them it’s OK to be overweight and not take care of yourself, and that’s not the message I want to send them.”

The chef planned a smart way by which she could lose weight without hampering her career. According to Maneet, she downloaded a calorie app and kept track of anything that she ate. Maneet stated:

“I kept to 1,200 calories a day, which would pretty much start with me logging my two glasses of wine and two pieces of chocolate, so I knew what I had left”

In addition to this, the 44-year-old also committed to burning calories by making sure to take at least 10,000 steps every day. The walk helps her burn around 1200 calories every day. Now, the Indian chef claims that this diet and exercise are a part of her daily life.
