Cicely Tyson was born in New York City on December 18, 1924. She was born to Theodosia Tyson and William Augustine and spent her childhood in Harlem, New York. The actress has passed away a year ago.

Tyson has passes away on January 28, 2021, at the age of 97 years old. What caused her death? Her manager said, there was no cause for her death. The actress peacefully died on Thursday, 28 January 2021.

“I have managed Miss Tyson’s career for over 40 years, and each year was a privilege and blessing,” her manager, Larry Thompson, said in a statement. “Cicely thought of her new memoir as a Christmas tree decorated with all the ornaments of her personal and professional life. Today she placed the last ornament, a Star, on top of the tree.”

Her memoir “Just As I Am” was also published at that time.
