According to the report from The Associated Press, LaTonya Bonseigneur, Thomas’ first cousin who was close enough to Thomas to consider one another siblings, said Thomas had been suffering from seizures for more than a year, and they believe he might have had one while he was showering.

“We’re not sure when he died. We just spoke with him yesterday,” Bonseigneur said, per the report. “He was alone and a friend couldn’t get hold of him, so he called his driver, who has a key because of these seizures, and he went into his home and found him in the shower.”
