He also claimed that he is just going to get bigger and bigger. And Ricky continued saying that his weight has never been a problem. He also admitted that he started gaining weight after his 30’s.

Gervais is under no illusions about what he needs to do, though, and hit back at a school in the UK which had announced it wanted to ban the word ‘obese’. He said of the idea: “Don’t ban the word, go for a run!”

What was the main reason behind his weight gain? According to reports, alcohol is one of the key habits and he was not willing to give up, even if it means he can’t shed the pounds. At a point, he reached 196 pounds.

His weight loss has raised a lot of questions about his diet plan and workout. He has not revealed anything specific about his diet plan. We believe he eats a usual healthy diet.

Gervais’ weight loss workout consisted of a home gym in which he worked out an hour a day. Previous to this, he didn’t want to be in a workout.

“I’ve just always liked eating. Losing weight wasn’t a problem. I just decided I’d work out and slim down ­because I didn’t want to die.”

However, the 60-year-old actor has not fully committed to his diet plan. According to Ricky himself, he drinks red wine every morning and feels a bit sick – but then he works out for an hour to burn off all those calories.
