Sidemen (@Sidemen) is a group of YouTubers who publish a variety of vlogs and challenges. The creation of this group was on October 19, 2013. They have more than 16.8 million subscribers as of now on October 3, 2022.
Sidemen consist of 7 members in their group namely KSI, Miniminter, Zerkaa, Behzinga, Vikkstar123, TBJZL, and W2S. Additionally, the name is a play on a phrase used to describe persons who work “behind the scenes” and receive far less attention than the major characters. Tobi and Simon used to be JJ and Josh’s “side men,” respectively.
When the channel was announced on May 16, 2016, it gained more than 1 million subscribers in just three days. So how did the Youtubers group come into existence? Olajide Olatunji (KSI) and Simon Minter (Miniminter) became colleagues in 2005. Simon would hold the camera while JJ recorded videos.
The two finally met Joshua Bradley (Zerkaa), who had been Tobit Brown’s (TBJZL) long-time friend since they were in secondary school. The four were in a voice hangout on Josh’s birthday and began watching a stream from Ethan Payne (Behzinga).

Then they extended him a group invitation. Simon gave this group the title “The Original Five.” The group’s formal name was created by Ethan. They started making videos on GTA 5 and then welcomed Vikram Barn (Vikkstar123).

He wasn’t as interested in FIFA as the others, but he was a suit, so he joined the group which at the time was informal naturally. On October 19, 2013, The Ultimate Sidemen (excluding Harry Lewis of W2S) was formally established. Harry was requested to record with them a few months later, in early 2014, because of his popularity on YouTube, and he fit in just fine.
